Chapter 95 - Chapter 69 Part 2

"How were your exams?" Yan Hang called to ask after he got off work.

"Never been better," Chu Yi truthfully replied. "I think I can get full marks in my major courses."

"That good huh," Yan Hang said. "You're a bull terrier now, very bullish."

"Still a mutt," Chu Yi said. "Bull terriers aren't good looking."

"Mutts aren't much better. Dumb as a wooden chicken," Yan Hang said.

"Mutts are cute," Chu Yi said.

"You were pretty cute yourself a couple years ago, puppy," Yan Hang tsked. "And now you still dare to call yourself cute?"

"Yes, dare," Chu Yi said.

"Fine, little cutie," Yan Hang said. "I'll bring back two dinner sets from the restaurant later. After we eat I'm going to help Old Cui buy some New Year goods. You still have to go to the cafe today right?"

"Mm, 5 more days," Chu Yi confirmed.

After hanging up, Chu Yi lay down on the sofa and took out his phone to scroll through it.

What he looked at the most recently was the Weibo of his Brother Xiao Tian.

Ever since accidentally showing his face last time during a livestream, Brother Xiao Tian went from a washed up food blogger to an internet celebrity. Chu Yi was amazed every day seeing his fan count grow, certain that crazy fangirls must have bought him followers.

But the comments were still interesting to read.

He liked seeing how the girls talked, they were all so cute.

- Today marks the xxth day since that handsome face disappeared after the fateful livestream! I'm lovesick and losing my memory...

- Brother Xiao Tian please come back! We'll pretend we didn't see your handsome face okay?

- Yes, in our hearts you're still a faceless hottie.

- A.k.a. the shameless hottie

- Brother Xiao Tian! As your thoughtful fan, I've edited a mask onto you!

Chu Yi laughed at the masked photo below for a good while. That day many people had managed to screenshot that one second Yan Hang's face was revealed. Thus began the era of all kinds of censored photos, with mask mosaics, dog mosaics, heart mosaics...

Chu Yi saved many of them on his phone.

That fleeting moment when Yan Hang's face was revealed, he did look quite handsome, although there was a touch of confusion on his face as the scarf slipped down suddenly.

Very sexy.

Not only were Yan Hang's eyes and hands good looking, but his mouth was also beautiful. Chu Yi really liked looking at the little point in the center of his upper lip. Whenever he saw it he just wanted to lick it.

The girls called it a lip pearl.

Which sounded very sexy indeed.

...Ah.

Chu Yi put his phone down and stared up at the ceiling light.

The room was probably too warm. Even the light was turning him on.

He sighed.

A certain idea that had been plaguing him for months, that he wanted to put into practice but didn't have the courage or opportunity for, surfaced in his mind again.

He glanced at the clock on the table. Still had some time before Yan Hang got back.

He could try it out.

But he was too embarrassed.

He didn't even know why he would be embarrassed by this when all the guys in the dorm room openly discussed and joked about it. But he still was.

He sighed again, tugged at his pants, and turned to face the sofa back.

He caught a whiff of Yan Hang's familiar scent.

It was Yan Hang's clothes.

Yan Hang was a messy guy who often just tossed his clothes onto the sofa. Right now, draped across Chu Yi's nose was one of his knitted cardigans.

Chu Yi buried his nose in it and inhaled deeply.

It held Yan Hang's scent, as well as the light cologne he usually wore.

Chu Yi closed his eyes, and reached a hand into his pants.

The moment Yan Hang opened the door holding two steak dinner sets, he heard a crashing sound from inside the apartment.

He was instantly alarmed and pushed the door wide open, calling out, "Chu Yi!"

"Ah!" came Chu Yi's responding yell.

At the same time, he saw Chu Yi's back as he leapt over the coffee table and dashed into the bathroom.

Just like when he saw the cripple run past in the hospital. Quick and agile.

Before Yan Hang could make sense of what was happening, Chu Yi had already slammed the bathroom door shut with a bang.

Yan Hang stood frozen at the door holding the steak dinners for a good few seconds before closing the front door. He set the food down on the coffee table and walked over to the bathroom door.

All was silent inside.

He knocked twice on the door. "Pup?"

"Go away," came Chu Yi's voice from within, firm and cold.

Yan Hang was taken aback. "You're telling me to go away?"

"Yes," Chu Yi answered very affirmatively.

"Who do you think you are?" Yan Hang said.

"No one," Chu Yi said.

Yan Hang was puzzled, but didn't say anything more, standing outside the door listening.

A few seconds later, the sound of water could be heard from inside, sounding like someone scrubbing a towel or washing clothes.

The diligent worker decided to dash into the bathroom to wash clothes the moment his boss returned home.

How magical and touching.

The boss stood outside the door with his arms crossed, suddenly feeling like he had guessed what had happened.

Then he kind of wanted to laugh.

But because he wasn't completely sure, he held in his laugh, planning to have a good laugh once he confirmed.

About two minutes later, there was the sound of the bathroom door lock.

Yan Hang took a step back.

But the door didn't open directly. Instead, it opened a crack, and then Chu Yi's head poked out from inside.

When he saw him, his eyes suddenly widened in shock: "I knew it!"

"Knew what?" Yan Hang asked with a smile.

"Knew you didn't go!" Chu Yi glared at him.

"I'll just ask you, if I were in your shoes, would you leave if I asked you to?" Yan Hang said.

Chu Yi looked at him, then answered after a while: "No."

"Well then, that settles it," Yan Hang said. "I have to make sure you're okay, right?"

"I'm fine," Chu Yi said, steadying the door with his hand. "Go away."

Yan Hang immediately noticed Chu Yi was holding something in the hand steadying the door, a small pile of laundered clothes.

If he wasn't mistaken, they were underwear.
